In 2014, Cory developed and introduced his “Super Slow” tutorial series on YouTube, which was an instant success. In this type of tutorial, Cory plays the piece at half speed with an overhead view, which is a highly convenient way to learn new pieces as well as “easy” for Cory since there is no talking or planning. Cory simply plays the piece from beginning to end at half speed with some degree of expression while avoiding robotic interpretations. These tutorials allow learners to observe all fingerings and wrist rotations as well as enjoy beautiful music played at half speed by a human (with no AI).
